Co-fundadora y responsable de “Trim Translate into Meaning”, una organización innovadora cuyo objetivo consiste en acortar la brecha entre la tecnología y los usuarios de información científica. Está dirigida especialmente a aquellos que trabajan y toman decisiones en países de bajos recursos. Elena Cristófori tiene más de diez años de experiencia profesional en campos de meteorología y geografía aplicadas, previsión y monitoreo de eventos extremos y mitigación de riesgos. Ella trabajó como investigadora y consultora de universidades.

She is co-founder and head of Trim-Translate into Meaning, an innovative organization aiming to bridge the gap between technology and users of scientific information. It specially points to those who operate and make decisions in low-income countries. She has more than ten years of professional experience in the fields of applied meteorology and geography, forecasting and monitoring of extreme events and risk assessment. She has worked as a researcher and as a consultant to universities and national and international research, non-profit organizations, as well as for specialized UN agencies. She is particularly focus on the implementation of interdisciplinary approaches for the integration of social, economic and environmental data to produce scientific information that can be understood and used by non-technical users.
